Chemical engineer Marina Najm joins Keiryo’s development team. She will take a leading role in incorporating data analysis, image analysis and modeling in the KP Testing and Modeling Loop. This proprietary flow modeling and analysis protocol is key to building Keiryo 3D printed inserts’ architecture and design.

Marina holds a Masters of Applied Science (MASc) in Chemical and Biological Engineering at the University of British Columbia.

At Keiryo I am part of a team improving properties of existing materials and developing a process to enhance the performance of polymers through flow and crystallization.’ says Marina. ‘With my analysis and experimental skills, I will contribute to the Keiryo team spearheading the improvement the processing and quality of polymer packaging’.

Marina is a great addition to the Keiryo research team’ says Johan Robbrecht, Managing Partner of Keiryo Packaging Technologies. ‘Working under the stewardship of Prof Dr Savvas Hatzikiriakos, she will play an important role in analyzing the data provided by the Testing and Modelling Loop we developed to design our Keiryo Products.’

About

Keiryo Packaging Technologies is developing a patented polymer processing technology which introduces well-designed mechanical energy into the polymer melt during its processing. Consequently, the molecular organization of the polymer melt is altered with the creation of flow-enhanced morphological structures which have a beneficial impact on the end performances of the polymer article being produced.  This enables light weighting, better barrier performance and improved mixing of virgin and recycled material. In doing so the Keiryo Packaging Technology improves the environmental sustainability of polymer-based packaging.
Keiryo Packaging Technologies is incorporated in Luxemburg and headquartered at 488 route de Longwy, Luxemburg.
